There are a few things to remember with trying to decide on a MLM business. First, is there an upfront fee (usually anywhere from $200 - $500)? Second, is the primary focus getting as many people to join your team? Third, are you constantly told that you COULD make 1000's and 1000's of dollars a month? If you can answer yes to at least 2 or all of these questions, its a scam. There are some MLM's out there that aren't illegal but are very misleading and basically just want your upfront fee. These include, Quixtar, Amway, etc. And I must say that Mary Kay and Keller Williams Real Estate are very real and successful MLM's. For the most part, 75% of MLM's , legal or illegal, are just out to get your fees and the way they keep you on that "get rich high" is to pay people to send in videos of how they got rich.
