Dont know if its illegal but its not a good idea anyhow.
As long as you are not taking time away from training or the duty day, then you should be fine to pursue any other interests. However, keep in mind, that any and ALL army commitments WILL come first. If you are living off post, or in government housing, its less of an issue.
If you are living in the Barracks, then your leadership will most likely have a big problem with it.
Multi-level marketing programs are not a good idea for anyone. The are the new Pyramid Schemes and flirt with being downright illegal. No one makes money but the top 1%, everyone else does all the grunt work up to the time when the whole thing collapses. You will make more money working for Wal-Mart and get a 10% employee discount card to boot.
talk to the guys on the ground first…. if you go strait to the bosses the lads will be most hacked off..and may lose their jobs
Really consider before you go to the Commander. Commanders are very busy people dealing literally with life and death issues every day (especially if they have big squadrons). Something like this may better be handled at a lower level.
No, its not illegal….but soliciting personnel junior in rank is.
As long as the program itself is legal, then they can participate. Their command might have a policy in place that requires them to speak with the commander first.
why would anyone including service members ever fall for the MLM scams?
